A day in Davis

Yesterday was a very big day for me.    I flew up to  Sacramento , yes again, for a meeting to select youth to represent the  California  4-H at the 2006 National 4-H Conference.    Steven Worker, our Program rep, picked me up from the airport and we went to pick up a friend of mine, Cindy.    After that we went to Safeway, which is Vons down here, and got ice.    Cindy was hungry so Steven was nice to take us to In & Out.    We finally made it to the State 4-H office where the meeting lasted from 1:00 to 5:00.    After the meeting I really didn’t want to say at the airport for three hours so I went to Steven’s Apartment.    That night he was having a party so I helped set up.    I say his costume for the party and it is a fairy costume.    It was so funny. I really found out that Steven is not that good of a cook and he doesn’t take care of his fish.    His room mate, Allison, who is on the Computer Corps, does the cooking and the taking care of his fish.    It is so funny.    Ste

This week has been hell

Hey everyone,     It has been awhile.  I have been real busy this past week.  First last week I got sick and had to miss school last Friday.  Which Friday night I flew, once again, to Sacramento for 4-H Stuff.  After I got back school started up again and I was still sick but I had to go.  Tuesday was a 1/2 day which was night so I can work on make up work.  Thursday the bus broke down and we had to go on one of those little busses for the retarded kids.  It sucked because it can only go about 20 mile per hour.  It was so slow.  OMG, this bus had seat belts and I had to wear them.  The bus driver made us.  I have never ever been on a bus with seatbelts.  And this bus also had child car seats.  I hated that bus so much.  Today is friday and I am missing school once again but not because I am sick, but because I am flying up and back from Sacramento for a meeting at UC Davis from 1-5 pm.  I am on the California Selection Committee for National 4-h Conference.  I will be chosing in 4 hou

Awards Night

Image
Last night was the  San Bernardino   County  4-H Achievement Night, our awards night, and it was held at the San Bernardino County Fair Grounds in Victorville.    The dinner was really good, roast pig.    For the awards night I was one of the color guard which was ok.    Below are the awards that I received:           County   Winner : Computers           County   Winner : Sr. Member Achievement           Sectional  First Place  Winner in Computers           State  First Place  Winner in Computers           Cluster Award           Purple Strip for All-Star I got a lot of awards last night.    It was fun.    One thing was missing, a friend who has been at this awards night ever since I was in 4-H 11 years ago.    Two of my friends, who are sisters, moved three months ago to  Alabama .   Last night was a special night because we did an entire presentation for the family and video taped it.    It was really nice and this is the second to last Achievement Night for me.

Car Wash

As most of you all know I am in 4-H.  Our local Redlands Club just had a Car Wash yesterday behind the starbucks on Orange Street, Redlands, CA.  The car wash was a donation type of thing for the families of Katrina and Rita Hurricanes.  We made $330.00 for those families.  That is going to help someone alot.  The car wash was ok, I got a little sunburn but it was for a good cause.

Freedom!!!

Well, tonight my mom and sister fly off to Ohio for NJHA, which is some conference where 4-H'ers go.  For once it is something that I am not going to. lol.  I was cleaning up some file on my computer and I found this photo of me, my current profile photo, pretending to hit a notebook computer with a pool noodle.  If you really take a look there are five notebook computers.  I was in the middle of getting them ready for a workshop on Photoshop to alot of adults which is not a really fun thing because it seems like adults have lots more problems with computers compaired to us youth.  This week has been ok.  I was not feeling good yesterday due to heart burn.  I think it was some cookies that I ate.  I am just getting ready to go to school so I can order my class ring, I was going to get it last year but I wanted a notebook computer and so I got it instead for my b-day.  I just found out today that my friends house was really close to having her house burn down from the first fire of

Friends Life in Danger

I call this friends life is in danger because I have two friends who's houses are in the area of one of the wildfires going on here in California right now.  There entire life is in there house.  They have not been home since before the fire started and the only thing they have are there school stuff because the fire started during school.  It has been three days and the fire is real close to there homes.  I hope nothing happens.  It would be real sad for them to lose there house.
