Aquarium of the Pacific--Oceanography Field Trip

On Tuesday of this week, Vanessa, Scotty, and I went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA.  As part of our Oceanography Class assignments, we have to do a certain amount of points for class activities, and one of them was to go to the aquarium.  We picked a day, planned things out, and went.  We had a 5 page handout with questions we had to answer, which we would find throughout the aquarium.

We left for the aquarium around 9:30.  Scotty had volunteered to drive, and we kinda got alittle lost when we got down to Long Beach.  It was cool because we got to see some oil pump thingys and some docks where a big cargo ship was being unloaded.  The ship probably came from Asia.

We finally got to the aquarium after a nice little drive though downtown, and we where able to park on the first floor of the parking structor.  There was no line to get the tickets, and there was not that many people at the aquarium.  It was nice because we could move at our own pase, and enjoy seeing the tanks and answering the questions without getting pushed and stuff from children and stupid people.  We went though the bottom part of the aquarium, then had lunch, then finished looking at everything.  It took us 3 hours and 20 mintues to get finished with everything.

Afterwards, we walked along Raindow Harbor and went to the village on the opisote side of the harbor from the aquarium.  We spotted an arcade, and so we stopped in to play a few games.  Afterwards we walked around for a little bit more before heading on home.

It was a nice day, and I am glad that we went when we did.  Jane was supposed to come with us too, but she got sick the night before, so she was unable to come.
